Le choix de la classe de cycle comme unité d’organisation pour le collège se justifie par :

La volonté de rester dans la continuité de ce que propose l’établissement aux niveaux précédents de l’école primaire.

La conviction qu’une classe multi-niveaux, hétérogène par définition, est le lieu privilégié de grandes richesses par les échanges entre pairs, par l’apprentissage de la vie en communauté de gens très divers, par la coopération qui s’y développe, par moins de freins au parcours de chaque élève mais, aussi, davantage de stimulations.
