That’s what an occupational therapist told one mother after just a few months at École L’Envol.Her son—once withdrawn, struggling, and angry—had begun to smile again. He was making friends. He was finally learning. And more than anything, he felt safe, seen, and loved.This is the difference École L’Envol makes.

Located in Pau, in the heart of what many call a “spiritual desert,” École L’Envol is more than a school. It’s a place where children from all backgrounds—Catholic, Muslim, Jewish, atheist, and evangelicalexperience the love of Christ through care, community, and, for those who choose, the Gospel.Since opening its doors in 2017 with just 22 students, École L’Envol has grown to serve over 80 children, adding a middle school in 2021. More than 50% of students now attend the school’s Gospel-sharing classes, with full parental consent. And those who don’t still benefit from the deeply Christian atmosphere of respect, kindness, and truth.
